The band is interviewed a LOT - like most bands of this caliber.  Duplicate questions are bound to happen, it's unavoidable.  There are some questions, however, that are asked so many times in interviews that we (as fans) really do not need to hear the answer AGAIN. 

 

 

Top 5 (with personal opinion in italics,  NOT opinion expressed by the band)

 

Q: Where do you like to play the most/least?

A: There is no answer  (You put them on the spot by asking this question because it's obvious that you want them to say your country)

 

Q: What’s it like having women on tour with you?

A:  It's work, and how they tour.  (What? did we suddenly go back to grade school?  'ohh you get to travel with girrrls!!'   Grow up.) 

 

Q: Who writes the lyrics/music?  

A: Mainly Chrigel but also others, (Some collaboration with Ivo and Anna mostly but it's mainly Chrigel)  (this makes you look uninformed and unprepared for the interview.  Take 5 minutes and Google it... do your homework, it will make your interview more interesting to the fans who already know the basics about the band)

 

Q: Where did the name of your band come from?  

A: It's Gaulish for "the Helvetian".   Helvetians were a Gaulish tribe that, in years past,  inhabited the country the band lives in (Switzerland).   Basically their forefathers.  (the detailed answer to this question is in the second paragraph of the BAND WIKIPEDIA.  Again,  Google it)

 

Q: How would you describe your music?

A: Melodic death metal mixed wtih traditional folk music.  (do you think the people who are watching/reading your interview don't already know what kind of music Eluveitie makes?)
